Rules
- All school coordinators must be employed within the participating school district.
- Only students in grades Pre K through 6th are allowed to participate. No exceptions.
- If we find a student/teacher/coordinator ticket is being sold online in any manner, we will immediately delete that ticket, and it will no longer scan at the front gate.
- If a student does not complete 10 reading hours by MARCH 30TH, they can NOT receive a free ticket.
Reading materials that count towards earning a free ticket:
- Books
- Comic Books
- Magazines
- Newspapers
- Online Reading
Reading materials that do not count towards earning a free ticket:
- Homework
- Social Media
- The R2R program accepts many forms of reading. Students can read to themselves, they can be read to by an adult, or they can read out loud to someone else.
- There are two ways in which students can receive their personalized ticket to Silverwood.
- Print option: Coordinators/Teachers print out a ticket from their dashboard on the Read 2 Ride website when the student has completed the required 10 hours of reading by MARCH 30TH.
- Email option: There will be a section on the student’s paper reading logs where a parent can provide an email for a ticket to be sent if they so choose. The Coordinator/Teacher would then be able to email the ticket to that parent when the student completes their reading by pressing the email button. Helpful hint: We recommend that parents save/print out their child’s ticket right away to avoid misplacing it by the time Silverwood opens for the season.
- Silverwood will not be collecting or sharing/using any information from the Read 2 Ride program for any Marketing use.
- Each participating school teacher and coordinator will receive one personalized ticket that they will be able to print from their dashboard before Silverwood opens for the season. Helpful hint: Please save or print your teacher/coordinator ticket before Silverwood opens for the season, or you won’t be able to access your dashboard.
- We reserve the right to remove a school from this program at any time if we feel our program is being intentionally abused.
